Acres of White

Sterilized fields of empty promises.
Where the flowers reek of formaldehyde.
Perpetual day cast by a fluorescent sun.
All is clean yet I can feel the germs.
Gripping me with their filthy hands.
Searching for an ailment.
Causing the agony to swell beyond my limits.
Smothering me with their drugs.
Entangled in tubes and covers.
Lost in the acres of white.
Time has been lost to me.
Bound by their sickness.
Locked inside my head.
